A series of acoustic devices was developed to rehearse the beginnings of an architecture of displacement on the beach at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Sound is a medium that is open to the imagination and available for displacing perception in subtle yet surprising ways. This installation consisted of a series of instruments - a collector, a resonator, and three projectors - that spatially controlled sound, creating space through immaterial means and similarly engaging the individual in constructing an understanding of the acoustic displacement within the sound field.
